Temples in Sham Shui Po

The project has been progressing steadily, now with two new Research assistants: Ryan Lam and Wei Lishan! We develop methods for on-site observations, air sampling (for chemical analysis), and draft design for experiments, and publications. While we collect many GB of video and audio for the database, and other materials (now 18 sites), occasionally I’m able to take a moment to post a couple of nice snapshots from our field data collection visits to temples, wetmarkets, and food street places in Hong Kong. On 23 November, Ryan Lam, YueRan, and PM vent to Sham Shui Po, which is a colourful, workingclass area of Kowloon that is rapidly being gentrified. It is one of the most densely habitet places on the planet, and there are several small temples. We went to the Sam Tai Tze & Pak Tai Temples (adjoining), Tin Hau, and Kwan Tai Temples. Afterwards, a lunch break at a local café. Stay tuned for more!
